COVID-19 Update
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all Archdiocese of Philadelphia Marriage Preparation Courses are being held as scheduled according to listed dates and times, but are now being delivered in a live webinar format until further notice. After completing registration, all couples are given instructions via email to join the virtual environment. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Parish Marriage Preparation Programs
Some parishes offer marriage preparation programs (also known as “pre-Cana”), usually in the Fall and Spring. These programs vary in format [one-day, weekends, meetings with mentoring couples, etc.]. The Family Life Office does not have a list of parish marriage preparation programs. To find a parish program, talk to your priest first. If your parish does not offer marriage preparation classes, contact parishes in your area to see which ones do: Archdiocese of Philadelphia Parishes.
Archdiocesan Marriage Preparation Program
This course offers, in addition to a theological approach to human sexuality, a virtue-based instruction in communication, conflict resolution, and financial decision-making.
The Marriage Preparation course is being offered in various locations within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in 2018. The list below will help you find the time and location best suited to your schedule.
